Fred Stobaugh, a 96-year-old man from East Peoria, Ill. recently entered a song writing contest held by a local studio, he admitted that he is not a musician. But this didn’t stop him from submitting. He sent a letter with a song he wrote for his deceased wife who died recently. This song called “Oh sweet Loraine”, is the tribute to the woman he loved so much, his wife Lorraine, with whom he’d spent 75 years. Fred didn’t win the competition but with his permission, the studio decided to record his song professionally and make it available on iTunes.
