If you’re a good fan of the X Factor, you know judge Simon Cowell as a tough guy, but you also know that toughness can’t beat deep emotions. One day, something happened on the stage, and Simon found himself on the soft side of emotions.
The guy who pulled off this incredible performance is Josh Daniel, a 21-year-old who lost a dear friend in 2013. Josh decided to perform “Jealous,” by Labrinth, in honor of his late buddy, and it seemed to get into the judges’ hearts.
This happened a short while after Judge Simon’s mom had passed away at age 80, on July 5, 2015. That explains why this performance really got into Simon, and he ended up shedding a few tears. His colleague, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, couldn’t help it either.
The performer ended up getting a standing ovation from the audience, and even Cheryl admitted that it was the most captivating moment she had experience in all of the auditions.
