In the eastern Pacific Ocean, about 250 miles south of Cabo San Lucas Mexico, Revillagigedos Archipelago, also known as “Socorro” is found. It is here that you will get to meet animals in their natural habitat.
The clip below, brought to us by Smithsonian Channel and “Secrets of Shark Island,” we see a courageous diver who had an encounter with a huge whale shark. While he takes a look at the shark, he discovers that the shark has a fishing line tied around his body like a trap. The line seemed to be on the shark’s body for years as it was getting into the body. Seeing this, he swam towards the shark from the back and cut the line making the shark to become free. Surprisingly enough, the shark seemed to sense that the diver was there to help him so he lay still while the line was being cut. The brave diver approached the shark with a pocket knife and in 30 seconds he had freed the enormous creature.
Whale sharks are considered to be the largest animals in the sea, who swim close to the surface of the water so as to feed on planktons.
