They all say age is just a number but in case of 98 year old Evelyn, that number was just too high. For someone who lives with other senior citizens in a retirement community, being able to get to a grocery store at least is crucial so they could feel useful.
When the community lost the bus they had to drive them to the store twice a week, Evelyn’s neighbor took it particularly hard, so she promised she’d drive her there whenever she needed. The only problem was that the authorities took her driver’s license because she was too old. Her solution was pretty freaking awesome. Promise is a promise.
