It happened in New Jersey. A raging fire at a local pet shop.
The horrific scene was encountered by police officer Rafael Burgos, a 20-year-veteran of the force. He was one of the first to arrive with partner Jeffrey Korger. This was not the early stages of the fire either. It was well advanced. Flames were big, smoke was thick. Nevertheless, there were animals inside and Rafael was not going to allow them to horrifically die like this.

Burgos busted into the shop. He then frantically began searching and grabbing whatever he could after determining no people were present inside.
He ended up freeing all the animals and saving them from the roaring flames. Burgos was injured from smoke inhalation as a result. He is expected to recover fully. Meanwhile all the animals were taken to local vets for immediate care.
Share this wonderful officer and his incredible animal saving efforts with all of your animal loving friends and family!
