A 3-year-old boy in the UK is being hailed as a hero after he saved his father’s life with two small cups of yogurt.
According to The Daily Mail, 34-year-old Mark Jones, who has diabetes, suddenly fell into a diabetic coma while he was home alone with his son, Lenny-George.
That’s when Lenny-George sprang into action and grabbed two cups of Muller Crunch Corners yogurt for his dad.
Although he was unable to find silverware, the quick-thinking tot reportedly used a plastic knife from his play-kitchen to spoon the yogurt into his dad’s mouth.
When Lenny-George’s mom, Emma, returned home, she was absolutely shocked by her son’s actions.
“It was a Sunday night, I needed to nip to my mum’s, which is literally two minutes around the corner by car, and I left them watching CBeebies together,” Emma said. “I’d been out for about 30 minutes and when I got back they were lying on the sofa. Mark didn’t look well, so I said, ‘what’s going on here?’”
“Lenny just turned to me and said ‘I saved daddy,’ and Mark said it was true, he had,” she continued. “He managed to feed Mark enough to get his sugar levels up and get his tablets.”
Both Jones and his wife say Lenny-George is the hero they never knew they needed at home.
“It could’ve been a completely different scenario if he’d been in bed or Lenny hadn’t done what he did. He could’ve ended up in a diabetic coma,” said Emma.
